Our Core Values
Meet the Founder
John Oliver, MA, BCBA, CT LBA
Owner & Clinical Director
My passion for Applied Behavior Analysis is rooted in a simple, personal commitment: a "never quit" mentality. For nearly a decade, I have been dedicated to finding the potential in every child, no matter the challenge.
From the Floor Up My journey didn't start in an office—it started on the floor as a Registered Behavior Technician (RBT). Those early years of building deep, personal connections with clients gave me a practical understanding of what actually works in real life, not just in a textbook.
Why I Started Pack ABA Over the years, I expanded my role to become a District-Wide BCBA and a Site Manager for an ABA center. While I learned how to manage large teams and complex cases, I also saw the limitations of a "one-size-fits-all" system. I founded Pack ABA to break that mold. I believe in a flexible, person-centered approach where we adapt to your unique needs.
I take my "never quit" mindset into every home I visit because I believe that your family’s success is my success. When you work with Pack ABA, you aren't just getting a therapist; you're getting a partner who is in your corner.
Outside the Office When I’m not working with families, I love working with my hands—usually on a new woodworking project or tending to my garden. I am also a huge dog lover and am always on the hunt for the best sushi spot in Connecticut.
Leadership Team
Michelle Oliver, MS, BCBA, CT LBA
Operations Lead & Supervising Clinician
A Leader in Clinical Care Michelle Oliver is a Board Certified Behavior Analyst (BCBA) and a cornerstone of the Pack ABA team. As a Supervising Clinician and Operations Lead, she plays a vital role in ensuring our families receive consistent, high-quality support.
Dedicated to Standards Michelle stepped into a leadership role because she believes that great therapy requires great organization. She works behind the scenes to maintain our high clinical standards, ensuring that logistics never get in the way of your child’s progress. Her goal is to create a seamless experience for parents, allowing our therapy team to focus entirely on what matters most: the children we serve.
Clinical Focus: A graduate of Bay Path University, Michelle leads with a specialized focus on Early Intervention. She champions the "Blossoming" approach—a philosophy dedicated to children who are often misunderstood. She is an expert in the art of "pairing" (building deep trust) and prioritizes teaching impactful daily living skills. Her passion is guiding her clients toward meaningful growth, helping them find their voice and their independence.
The following stories are drawn from our past professional experiences to illustrate our clinical approach. While they reflect the positive changes that can happen with a collaborative partnership, every child’s journey is unique.
Mastering Independence
I worked with a child who had struggled with potty training for years. Multiple failed attempts had led to extreme behaviors and a negative association with the bathroom. instead of forcing the issue, I focused on meeting the child where they were. We started by simply making the bathroom a positive space, reinforcing safety and comfort. By working at his pace with patience and consistent reinforcement, we achieved a breakthrough. Within months, this child was not only successfully potty trained but began requesting to use the bathroom independently—a major milestone for his confidence and autonomy.
Finding a Voice
For the first seven years of one client's life, communication was a constant struggle. When they needed something, the frustration often led to crying and self-injurious behavior, leaving the family to play a difficult "guessing game." The turning point came when we taught the client to point to objects to communicate needs, eventually transitioning to picture choices. It was a challenging process, but the results were life-changing. With a newfound ability to communicate, the client became happier, and the family saw a significant reduction in difficult behaviors. Their new voice brought profound peace to their home.
Building Connections
I supported a young learner who initially showed social interest only in their father, limiting interactions with their mother and siblings. Through a collaborative approach, we helped the family unlock their child's full social potential. The mother later shared that her son began looking out the window for our sessions, running to greet us with laughter and smiles when we arrived. It was a powerful example of how a trusting relationship can change family dynamics and create lasting joy for the entire household.
Mentorship & Supervision
In addition to our clinical services, Pack ABA LLC offers comprehensive BCBA supervision and behavior consultation. My passion is to guide the next generation of professionals by helping you bridge the gap between the core principles of ABA and real-world application.
Our goal is to provide a rich, hands-on supervision experience that prepares you to practice with confidence and strong ethics. We go beyond basic requirements, committed to helping you gain the deep insights and adaptive skills needed to truly make a difference in the lives of the families you serve.
